  1. Dear prahalad,
please correct me if I am wrong but the company IFB agro hasnt announced dividends for the past few years. It seems to be a wrong precedent to recommend a share which does not value its investors.

Warren Buffett who is the best known investor and "Berkshire Hathaway" Warren Buffett's company has paid Zero dividends..

having said that I have clearly stated that IFB Agro has not been paying dividends.. and will most likely not pay dividends in the future also..

It is a value buy based on its market cap and earning potential..

If you really dont like IFB you can buy "Jayant Agro organics" which has a market cap of 126 Cr (IFB Agro: 122.7Cr) June Q1 earning for Jayant was 8.95Cr[consolidated] (June Q1 earning for IFB Agro 9Cr)

    Jayant Equity: 7.5Cr
    IFB Agro Equity: 8Cr

The good part of Jayant Agro is it paid a dividend of Rs 1.75 per share!! and has been declaring dividend's consistently..

Jayant is a Recommended "Best Buy" in this blog

Jayant Agro is a future proof company and we get paid for waiting..

I expect revenues to cross 2000Cr this year ie for year ending March 2012 for Jayant Agro.. (just my guess work..)

Net Profit could be close to 30Cr or more (my guess again..)

whats does "Big GIN in Indian Breweries" mean??
    ------------
as far as I understand IFB Agro has sold their Vodka/GIN Brands to tilaknagar industries and is now concentrating on "Indian liquor" not IMFL (Indian Made Foreign Liquor) vodka/whisky/rum/GIN are considered IMFL.. infact tilaknagar has taken the employees & Brands of IFB.. IFB does have a brand new grain based distillery and ab older molasses based distillery..
    -------------
company to watch out for is "Tilakmagar industries" .. which is a market leader in Premium Brandy segment in India with "Mansion House Brand"

Tilaknagar is ultra cheap at current levels 30/= per share.. due to concern about "Mansion House" Brand ownership..
    ---------------------
PN: I do hold shares in tilaknagar from 35 levels..
