Sir, First of all i wish you a very happy, healthy & prosperous new year.
Secondly, the purpose of my writing is to elicit your kind comments on "the shale gas and oil" discoveries in USA and other places. As per this report:
http://www.thehindu.com/opinion/op-ed/the-shale-revolutions-shifting-geopolitics/article4256348.ece.USA shall become nearly independent in energy. This shall reduce global oil prices thereby postponing peak oil fears forever.
Sir, in view of these developments , what do you say about prospects for your four favorite stocks.
Thanks and Regards,
ttthakur

TTThakur ji:

A Very Healthy and Prosperous New Year to you and your Family.

With regards to shale gas..

Shale Gas is something which starts quickly and ends Quickly also..

From what I know it will at the max lead to 5-10yrs (I think its just another 5 yrs) delay in Peak oil..

In US oil consumption is dropping even though it is producing more shale related oil and gas..

The 4 "Best buy" stocks GAEL,Jayant Agro Organics, NHPC and Tata Comm..
as I have mentioned before are play's keeping in mind "Peak oil" and worth holding on to for long term..

The idea is to get the maximum use of the old oil related assets.. If there was no fear of peak oil we should have seen building of new refineries .. It is not happening (in Western Developed economies..)

Lead an independent life.. Be financially Free.. Try and be energy independent (biogas) .. have some farm land..

Try and be part of local enterprise.. not a global setup as the future is "Local.. Local.. Local"

As you can see I am not convinced with shale..

I would say.. Hope for the Best.. Plan for the Worst..

WhatsUP Ji,

I still think there is some unexplained magic in promoters shareholding in 40-45% bucket given other various performance parameters.

Having said that, I'm kicking myself! Been following Wockhardt Pharma from Rs 70 range just three years back. I'm kicking myself!!

TTThakur ji:

Pls no Sir as I am not your boss .. Well as I mentioned.. Think Local!!..

the new energy system is a local network of generator's "Micro Grid's" (TERI)

The old "oil" related assets are dying a slow death and .. the current news flow (of sufficient oil) is to ensure that somebody picks up their wasted assets..

Since the future is local distributed energy system.. what will happen to the current infrastructure of Centralised electrical GRIDS?

The current high un-employment is actually a nudge to current employable youth to move to look out for a different type of job..

Not the office going desk job..

As energy is going to an important differentiator I see "Art and other sciences taking over"

Jobs might be more in the field of "Art" say.. TV, Food, Entertainment, farms, local production.

Education itself will see a sea change according to me.

We will see the shift in types of jobs happen sooner rather than later..

We are living in interesting times.
