WhatsUP Ji;

The result looks charming. Theirs being a seasonal business, which quarter is the highest performer? Dec or March?

Anonymous ji:

results were available from Capital market and the best quarters are in the 2nd half.. ie Dec and MArch

but now that they are entering Maize derivatives this will reduce the seasonal variation in GAEL's results and we will see steady income in all quarters (that's what the management had said..)

Other Agro Processing(Profit):
Mar2012 Jun 2012
1067.47 4616.17

The profits have increased in Other Argo processing. I would have been happy if the profits had increased in more in Maize Processing.

What do you think can they maintain same numbers in Other Agro processing Coming Quarters..?

Currently getting ready to receive my Dividend Money....

I think the way the management has stated the dividend is interesting
30% regular and 10% special dividend based on performance .. gives an idea of how the management see's the profits for the quarter..

The fact is that each of the locations for GAEL has co-generation power plants and this really helps drive input costs down..
depreciation has not increased which could indicate the karnataka plant might not have been commissioned yet ..

Note that there is a 17.12cr forex loss else the earnings would have been much higher..

conclusion:- dont see karanataka maize plant effects
- GAEL has built an integrated system for agro processing and "maybe" this is giving it a competitive advantage.
- Power plant separate division created is going to provide additional profits in term of CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) Credits

I think this is just the beginning.. we will see some additional surprises..(CDM & maize) with regards earnings..

whatsupji: One thing i do not understand is the time at which reliance capital came out of the stock..

Not sure what promoters are up too..

What'sUp Prahalad said...

Purushottam ji:

Reliance capital is a mutual fund.. and mutual fund investors are "AAM Aadmi"
So its hardly surprising that "AAM AADMI" got a raw deal..

Maybe.. maybe the market is so down that the management of funds are not getting their bonus... so an underhand deal with one of the stock owners at a deep discount..

maybe its possible that reliance has a hard stop if the stock does not perform in x yrs they will sell at CMP..

higher promoter holding is always a good indication specially considering the fact that GAEL is a deep value stock..
